BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
Brunei or officially known as Nation of Brunei, Darussalam or the Abode of Peace is a small country located in Southeast Asia. Brunei is surrounded by Malaysia and has two parts physically separated by Malaysia. The capital city of Brunei is Bandar Seri Begawan. Brunei is governed by a constitutional sultanate ruled by Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah.

THE RULER
The Sultan of Brunei, Hassanal Bolkiah, is one of the world's longest-reigning and few remaining absolute monarchs.The sultan was born in 1946 and was educated in Malaysia and Britain. He was crowned in August 1968 following the abdication of his father, Sir Haji Omar Ali Saifuddin.
Upon Brunei's independence in 1984, he appointed himself prime minister and in 1991, introduced an ideology called Malay Muslim Monarchy, which presented the monarch as the defender of the faith.
He is one of the world's richest individuals and with a large private fortune.

Brunei is divided into four main districts; Belait, Tutong, Brunei-Muara and Temburong. Temburong is physically separated from the rest of Brunei by Malaysian state of Sarawak. Brunei-Muara includes Brunei's capital city, Bandar Seri Begawan.
